Canon PowerShot E1 Review
Canon is known for their serious, professional cameras and high end technology so don’t let to new Canon PowerShot E1 fool you. This spunky new digital camera comes in three fun and youthful colors: white, blue and pink. While it looks like it is made for a child, this new compact digital camera embraces some technology that even the high end cameras do.
Inside the new Canon PowerShot E1, comes a 10 megapixel CCD that will allow you to capture any photograph and have it be large enough to enlarge dramatically, or large enough to crop in deep while still keeping the fine details. Also, Canon has incorporated a 4x optical and 4x digital zoom lens that also has an optical image stabilizer system incorporated into it so that you don’t have to worry about accidental movements. When you flip this new, sporty digital camera around, you’ll see the 2.5 inch LCD screen that clearly dominates the rear of the camera so that you can easily compose your pictures just how you would like them to turn out on photo paper.
When toying around with the Canon PowerShot E1, its easy to get captivated by the many shooting modes that Canon has put into it. With these, you can take easy pictures on the go by setting it to Auto mode, or you can get technical and set it to a specific mode depending on how you would like the camera to adjust to the scene around you. Modes that you can adjust include: Auto, Landscape, Easy, P, Portrait, Special Scene (Night Scene, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Sunset, Fireworks, Aquarium, ISO 3200), Kids & Pets, Indoor, Movie and Night Snapshot mode. Canon has also put in some color modes such as sepia, vivid neutral, custom colors and the classic, black and white.
With the Canon PowerShot E1 you also get their special face detection technology and their quality image stabilization technology, and when coupled together, will give you crystal clear portraits worthy of framing and hanging in the family room for everybody to see. If these pictures don’t come out how you had hoped and you are not exactly computer literate, Canon has conveniently put editing options such as a resizing tool, red eye correction and an image inspection tool so you can edit your image to your exact specifications.
The new Canon PowerShot E1 is an interesting alternative to the conventional sleek and modern digital camera. If you love photography and are just getting into it, but want a family fun camera to capture all your moments but also don’t want to compromise features and quality, then the Canon PowerShot E1 is the way to go.
