The new design isn’t really like most digital cameras. Instead of beings thin and a normal rectangle, the new Canon PowerShot A470 is an elongated rectangle.
With 7.1 megapixels, the Canon PowerShot A470 is near the typical compact digital camera standard, same goes for the 3.4 optical/4x digital zoom lens. With this digital camera, you also get the industry average 2.5-inch low-temperature polycrystalline silicon TFT color LCD screen.
Shooting modes on the Canon PowerShot A470 include Auto, Camera M, Special Scene (Portrait, Beach, Sunset, Fireworks, Foliage, Aquarium, Snow, Indoor, Kids & Pets, Night Snapshot), Super Macro and Movie mode. You can basically get any picture you want, and then some by adding specific scene specifications. If you can also incorporate one of the 5 color modes. Don’t get us wrong, we love the Canon PowerShot A470 especially with its under $100 price tag. However because of it’s low cost, you may not find the features you are looking for in a digital camera. One the plus side, with the Canon PowerShot A470, you get face detection to give awesome portraits, on camera editing, many stylish colors as well as the ability to go anywhere without worrying about recharging batteries.
