Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Review
The new Canon PowerShot SD850 IS comes with an array of features, one that stands out is it’s unique six different movie modes. Select from VGA, QVGA (15 fps), QVGA (30 fps), Fast Frame, Compact Movie Mode and Time Lapse. These features can help you create one of a kind movies that can easily be played on an iPod, iPhone or through the television.
With the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS, you get an astounding 8 megapixel CCD that gives you large prints that you can edit without loosing detail, or enlarge to create an amazing family portrait. Also on this new Canon digital camera, you have a 4x optical zoom lens so you can get much closer to what you want to capture. 4x digital zoom is also on this digital camera but image quality can vary.
On the back of the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS you’ll find a 2.5-inch low-temperature polycrystalline silicon TFT color LCD screen that will show you the picture exactly how it’ll come out. If you’re not pleased with the picture you took, there is the option to put one of the many shooting modes on it to adjust the coloring, white balance and ISO. Shooting modes that they included on this Canon digital camera include: Auto, Color Swap, Camera M, Special Scene (Foliage, Snow, Beach, Portrait, Fireworks, Aquarium, Underwater, Kids & Pets, Night Snapshot, Creative Light Effect), Color Accent, Stitch Assist, Digital Macro and Movie Mode. Speaking of portrait shots; the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS has got face detection technology so that the camera will automatically adjust certain settings such as the exposure, ISO, white balance and focus so that all of your portrait images come out looking crystal clear. The camera does this by adjusting the above mentioned settings to make sure the faces in the portrait come out without overexposure and underexposure.
