The Canon PowerShot SX120 IS is a digital camera from the PowerShot series that comes with the Smart Auto focus wherein the camera automatically adjusts to the environment’s brightness, faces, distance, and even movement in order to capture the clearest and best picture at every snap.
Although the all new Canon PowerShot SX120 IS only comes with 10 effective megapixels, the camera does come with 10x optical zoom, allowing users to get as close to the action as possible without budging an inch. Plus, with optical zoom, users are assured of great looking pictures without sacrificing the quality of the pictures.
In addition to the Smart Auto focus feature, the PowerShot SX120 IS also comes with the Easy Mode feature. This feature lets the camera make all the necessary camera settings while the user just presses a button – great for first time digital camera owners who want to take beautiful pictures but are unfamiliar with camera controls and settings.
What’s great about the SX120 IS is its large, 3 inch LCD screen that allows users to see pictures in wide angles and makes sharing pictures with friends and family a pleasure. This camera can also be conveniently powered by two AA sized batteries which anyone can purchase off of any convenience store.
Another great feature this camera has is the Face Detection WB wherein the camera focuses on the faces in the picture and uses it to determine the white balance to be used for the picture so that skin tones are balanced in the captured image.
Other features of the Canon PowerShot SX120 IS are the DIGIC 4 feature which includes face and motion detection features as well as red eye correction. Users can actually choose to correct red eye before the image is taken, or after while on playback with the camera’s menus.
