Canon PowerShot SX200 IS Review
The PowerShot SX200 IS is a pretty nifty digital camera from Canon. Similar to the other digital cameras in the PowerShot series, the SX200 IS comes with the Smart Auto feature which lets the camera choose the best scene mode from the 18 available ones to capture the best image possible while the user focuses on the most important thing in taking pictures – the subject.
The Canon PowerShot SX200 IS comes with 12.1 megapixels, giving users the ability to enlarge pictures the way they want to without sacrificing image quality. This digital camera also comes with 12x optical zoom, perfect for zooming in on distant subjects. The camera also comes with an optical image stabilizer and 28mm wide angle lens so that even if users zoom in on a particular subject, the background the subject is in is also captured in the picture.
HD buffs will also appreciate the HD shooting and HD playback capabilities of the SX200 IS. Users can record videos in HD quality and with HDMI, play them back and watch with the entire family on an HDTV monitor.
This digital camera is also great when users intend to take pictures of moving subjects, especially kids. The Canon PowerShot SX200 IS comes with blink detection feature that alerts the user when a person in the image has blinked, and gives the user 3 seconds to retake the shot before any of the subjects move or change positions.
