Nikon Coolpix S210 Digital Camera Review

Nikon Coolpix S210 Review

The new stylish, yet modern Nikon Coolpix S210 performs as great as it looks. This compact camera comes in purple, light bronze, bright blue, and a dark black. It has 8.1 megapixels so you can create beautiful photographs and still have them be large enough to crop into them without reducing image quality or size. Need to get a shot but aren’t quite close enough. The 3x optical zoom, can assist you in getting closer. 3x may not sound like much but lets keep in mind, this is still a entry level digital camera. 3x optical zoom is fairly standard as far as slim, compact cameras go. The new Nikon Coolpix S210 however is a little bit more unique than the rest. There is the new Expeed Image Processor that Nikon has incorporated into this camera that makes taking pictures simple, and have the images turn out clear and bright. If you have a shaky hand or are in areas of quick motion, Nikon has included an Electronic VR Image Stabilizer to prevent blurry pictures from accidental movement. This camera looks as great as it performs but one of the nice features is the large 2.5 inch LCD screen on the back. Whether you are in the shade or the sun, this high resolution screen lets you compose great pictures or navigate through the menu without a problem. Taking low light pictures gives you great color as well as mood. However, using flash can sometimes put a damper on pictures’ true color. The Nikon Coolpix S210 has got a High Sensitivity Mode so that you can have the camera automatically adjust the ISO up to 2000, depending on the lighting conditions. Another nice feature that can assist you in taking pictures is the Nikon’s Face Detection Technology that will track the faces in your pictures, then adjust certain elements of the photograph to capture, bright, more radiant smiles. Besides portrait mode, there are another 14 modes to choose from to make your pictures perfect. They include Landscape, Sports, Night Portrait, Party/Indoor, Beach/Snow, Sunset, Dusk/Dawn, Night Landscape, Close Up, Panorama Assist, Museum, Fireworks Show, Copy and Back Light modes. This new Nikon Coolpix S210 has got too many features to mention but perhaps one of the most intriguing highlights about this compact camera is the fact that it is thinner than a stack of cards. That’s extreme portability and convenience that would keep even a professional happy.
